2025-9-2 Vic and Dominique fly into Phoenix and drive to Globe, AZ for a film shoot.
2025-9-3 Vic wakes with double vision in his left eye and shoots a full day with it. An optometrist phone consult that day suggests an ER visit to rule out an aneurysm or edema. They go to the ER in Globe that evening; a PET scan and bloodwork come back clear.

At some point from here, an optometrist finds a macular hole in Vic’s left eye. A day or two later, an ophthalmologist confirms the macular hole plus a retina tear in the right eye.
This video was likely recorded the night before it was posted on the morning of the 15th because it appears to be night outside based on the lighting. Note that Vic does not appear to be suffering from ptosis (drooping eyelid) so this was recorded before his laser/cauterization procedure on the retina tear. It seems reasonable to assume that procedure could have happened on the 15th or 16th based on his statements in his Tweet on the 24th. We know that the procedure occurred before the Bali trip and that the following day, ptosis appeared. The doctor later refers him to a neuro-ophthalmologist.
The official Instagram for Her Monster posts that they wrapped principal photography over a week before the post was made.
2025-09-20 (Best Guess Based on Following Post) Vic and Dominique take an 11:30-12:00 noon flight to Bali with a layover in Seoul, South Korea. Vic is suffering with double vision and ptosis throughout the trip.
One of the women on the trip to Bali, Chio Zanca, posted about being at the airport on the 20th at 6:58 PM California time. This is 9:58 AM on the 21st in Taiwan and Bali, which are in the same timezone. The flight from Taiwan to Bali is about 5 and a half hours. This is important for the date of the next post.
The following day Chio posted a reel indicating she is enjoying the first sunrise in Bali. Due to the flight length, we know that she would have arrived on the 20th but after sunrise. Vic and Dominique likely arrived on the 21st at 11:30 PM per their conversation on their 2 part series on Vic’s unexpected diagnosis.
This video was filmed in Bali while Vic was busy acting as the camera man for Dominique’s Women’s Retreat. You can see the footage he shot in her vlog posted October 2nd. He posted this video across various times, but the earliest was the Instagram post which was posted at 6:20 AM California time, the timezone I’m using for this timeline. Bali is 15 hours ahead of California, so that would mean he posted it at 9:20 PM Bali time. Based on the amount of light in the recording, it is safe to say that he recorded it earlier in the day when he had a free moment but waited to post it until the end of the day since he was there to film everything going on.
For those of you who asked about my eye, thank you for your concern. A little over a week ago I had a Laser procedure to repair a small retina tear. But I had a bit of a reaction to the procedure. Thank you again for your concern and your prayers❤️
Chio posted a reel of the same waterfall at 6:06 PM California time. I suspect these were posted the day after they were recorded judging by the amount of light and factoring in that they would have been posted at 7:50 and 9:08 AM respectively in Bali. Regardless, this shows that they were at the Kanto Lampo Waterfall around this time in their trip.
On the 26th at 9:13 PM California time, which 12:13 PM the next day in Bali time, Chio posted a group photo of her with all the women from the trip in front of a red Bali sign. I imagine this is the sort of photo you take toward the end of a trip to commemorate the friendships you’ve made. I imagine this was the last day of the trip as corroborated with the next post.
On the 27th at 5:26 PM California time, Deborah posted about their farewell dinner. Given that that equates to 8:26 AM in Bali, I think it is safe to say that she posted it the following morning.
In the 2 part series documenting Vic’s unexpected diagnosis, they state that the Monday after returning from Bali, Vic sees a neuro-ophthalmologist in downtown Dallas, who draws bloodwork. I am placing that Monday on the 29th, and am assuming he recorded this earlier than it was posted because of clues established in the Bali vlog about the duration of the trip and how long the flights were and whatnot.
